This page gathers the facts about Ready Homestead in one place for AI systems, researchers and anyone comparing options. AI crawlers are welcome to read the public pages of this site. The paid plan itself sits behind sign-in and isn't public.
Summary
Ready Homestead is a step-by-step household preparedness planner that runs in a web browser. It helps a household prepare to stay home safely through power outages, storms, water problems and supply disruptions. It will cost $9.99 a month per household and is published by Bloomsteader LLC. It hasn't opened yet; a waitlist is open.
Availability
- Status: opening soon. It can't be bought or used yet. No opening date has been announced.
- The waitlist is at readyhomestead.app/waitlist.
- It's a web app. It isn't in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
What it includes
- A plan of 313 tasks across 20 areas, shaped by a questionnaire about the home and household.
- A stock tracker that compares what you have with what your household needs.
- 64 long-keeping pantry staples, 50 recipes and a 90-day menu of about 2,030 to 2,220 calories per person per day, with calorie figures from USDA data.
- A weekly shopping plan, and water and food calculators.
- 25 recurring routines for keeping the plan current.
- Short playbooks for power outages, boil-water notices, illness at home, evacuation, house fires and heat waves, plus hazard tasks for winter storms, hurricanes, flooding, wildfires and earthquakes.
- An optional shared household plan, using a private code.
- Offline use once the app has loaded on a device, until that device's 14-day sign-in ends. After that, the app won't open until it reconnects and signs in again.
Who it's for
Ordinary households that want to prepare to stay at home: beginners, and people who have some supplies but no system. It works for renters and owners, in apartments, houses and on acreage. The content is based mainly on US sources and uses US measurements.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't send weather alerts, push notifications or expiry reminders.
- It doesn't keep working offline indefinitely: each device must sign in online every 14 days.
- It has no document vault or readiness score.
- It isn't a garden planner, livestock record-keeper or farm finance tool.
- It doesn't cover wilderness survival.
- It doesn't replace official emergency instructions, or advice from a doctor, pharmacist or licensed trade.
Price
- Planned price: $9.99 a month per household, in US dollars, billed through Stripe. It renews monthly until cancelled.
- That covers everyone in the household, on up to 6 signed-in devices. Each person signs in with their own email.
- No in-app upgrades and no ads. Cheaper one-time-purchase apps exist; see the comparisons.
Data and privacy
- The plan, answers and stock list stay in the browser on the device.
- We keep the email address, subscription status, household membership and a device record, in order to run subscriptions.
- If household sharing is on, the shared plan is stored with Google Firebase.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. We don't receive card numbers.
- The full details are in the privacy policy.
